Wanderlust is part of the New Horizons Collection. The collection is great value for money compared with buying the patterns individually.
Wanderlust is a shallow asymmetric shawl/scarf worked in three colours of fingering weight yarn. The original was worked in a merino single yarn; excellent for the mix of garter stitch and lace. This shawl looks particularly beautiful in three colours, a pale, mid and a dark, each speckled with the colours in the other yarns so increasing in intensity as you reach the border.
Very simple yet effective. Perfect for a travel project or a travel accessory. Either way, when you get that wanderlust this shawl will be just the ticket!
Size: As written 93” (236cm) wide along top edge, 19” (48cm) deep before blocking and 116” (294cm) wide along top edge, 20.5” (52cm) deep after. It should be noted that this was very gently blocked, really just soaked, blotted and eased into shape with only the bottom edge pinned.
It is possible to work a smaller, one skein/one colour version of this shawl and notes are included in the pattern for this. For the three colour version you will require one skein of each colour - Allow around 80g of each colour to give a comfort zone. Below are the yardages used for the original shawl. These are giving as a guide only.
