“파도가 모래” 라는 가디건 이름은 ‘파도가 뭐래?’ 라고 묻는 듯한 뉘앙스와 ‘가’를 더할 가(加)로 생각해서 ‘파도에 모래를 더한다.’라는 뜻도 되도록 지었습니다. 바탕색 실인 밝은 베이지색 실은 모래를, 아랫단에 쓰인 백아이보리색 실은 파도 거품을, 청록색 실은 파도가 일렁이는 바다를 생각하며 가디건의 전체적인 모습을 구상했습니다.

이 가디건은 탑다운(top-down) 방식으로 작업하는데, 뒤판 어깨를 늘려주며 어느 정도 길이까지 떠주고 나중에 양쪽 어깨에서 코를 주워 앞판 브이넥 늘림을 하며 내려오는 방식입니다. 암홀 부분에서 앞과 뒤를 합체하여 밑단까지 떠줍니다. 이때, 아랫단에는 파도 모양을 연상시키는 보편적으로 쓰이는 레이스 무늬가 들어가고, 따로 고무단 없이 마무리됩니다. 버튼밴드는 모래알을 표현하고 싶어서 멍석뜨기로 떠서 마무리했습니다. 소매도 암홀에서 코를 주워 탑다운(top-down) 방식으로 떠내려오며, 소매의 아랫단에도 무늬가 들어갑니다. 그리고 경쾌한 느낌을 내기 위해 소매는 8~9부 정도 되는 길이로 떴습니다.

가슴둘레가 약 110(123)cm 정도로 넉넉한 편입니다. 사이즈를 더 작거나 크게 뜨시려면 실 굵기나 바늘 크기를 조절하여 떠주시면 됩니다. 탑다운(top-down) 방식이므로 몸통 기장과 소매 길이의 조절은 자유로운 편입니다.

“Wave plus sand cardigan” was made imagining of the beach. The bright beige color used as the main color is reminiscent of the sandy beach, and the turquoise and ivory colors used as the two contrast colors are reminiscent of waves and wave bubbles.

This cardigan knitted top-down. Knit the Back first and increase each shoulder. Then pick up the stitches from both shoulders and knit down while increasing the v-neck of the front.
At the armhole, combine the front and back, and knit it up to the lower end at once. The lower hem is knitted with a wave pattern using two contrast colors and does not make a rib band. The sleeve pick up the stitches at the armhole and also knttied top-down. A wave pattern is also placed on the lower end of the sleeve. The button band used seed stitches to express a grain of sand and requires five buttons 18mm in diameter.
The bust circumference and sleeve width are generous. To make the size smaller or larger, you can knit it by adjusting the needle size or the thickness of the thread. Since it is top-down, the length of the body and sleeve can be adjusted as desired.
