From the contrasting picot cast-on to the simple repeating pattern worked in complimentary colours, Wave Theory is an interesting knit. Wave Theory can be worked in the same colour with different textures or in hightly contrasting colours.

The simple pattern is bold enough to show even with close colours.

Top it with a jaunty pom-pom or keep the finish plain! The pattern is easy to track and the stranded pattern makes for a warmer hat!

The main colour (Noro Silk Garden Solo) was used up entirely with the remaining yarn going into the pom.

1 (1, 2) ball Noro - only a small amount of the 2nd ball in the 3rd size will be needed.
