Waves of Love
I have a special friend that I see so seldom. Our lives are very busy so our telephone chats and emails are sporadic. These infrequent connections are like the white horses in the middle of the ocean, and after a while is seems normal to chat so seldom.
Then slowly the ground swell begins to form encouraging us to connect. We need to see each other, to share our news and joys and heartaches. The ground swell rushes through us and pushes us together.
And finally we sit together; she tells me about her difficult moments, I hug her. We chat about our passions and smile with pride for each other. I tell her about my life and I feel the waves of love wash over me.
As she leaves and I feel as if she has washed my soul.
How wonderful it is to be so deeply connected even though sometimes we are like ships in the night.
