We lovingly named our first son Waya RiverDancer,
a name filled with cultural significance.
“Waya” carries the beautiful meaning of “wolf” in Cherokee Native American, a tribute to his heritage.
Although our son also has Anishinaabe Indian roots,
he is officially enrolled in the Cherokee Nations band,
making his name a reflection of the rich tapestry
of his ancestry.
