Weathertop Hat
I’ve long been a Tolkien fan so it stands to reason that many of my designs are inspired directly from the realms of the fantasy created in both the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings worlds.
Weathertop hat is one such design, inspired by the rough craggy mountain top where Strider and the Hobbits took refuge on the way to Rivendell.
I love this hat, it is warm and cosy with lots of interest and texture and is finished with some great buttons! A pattern that is interesting to make and comfortable to wear, the gathers add warmth making it suitable for the coldest weather.
Weathertop Hat comes in 3 sizes and is stretchy enough to fit everyone.
Sizes avalable
Small: 20” 51cm
Medium: 22” 56cm
Large: 24” 61cm
It uses just 3 balls (330yds) of Knit Picks City Tweed DK or any other DK weight yarn you have.
Thank you to the many people involved in getting this piece publication ready including the wonderful testers in my group Sarah Jane’s Coffee and Crochet and also the awesome Boricuacrochet for tech editing.
