This textured crochet washcloth pattern is made using basketweave stitch, to create a pretty and practical washcloth.

For beginner crocheters and experienced crocheters alike, this crochet washcloth pattern uses raised crochet stitches to create the basketweave pattern. Front Post double crochet (US) and Back Post double crochet (US) are used throughout, alternating to create the blocks of basketweave. These are UK Front and Back Post treble crochet (UK)

A pretty moss stitch border is added, using single crochet (US) or double crochet (UK).

Pattern is written in both US and UK terminology.

Materials
• Scheepjes Organicon Cotton - 100% organic cotton; 170m per 50g ball.
• 1 ball (50g) will make a washcloth.
• 2.5mm hook (US C/2).
• Yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Note that you can use any 4ply/fingering weight yarn for this pattern. I also used Hobbii Friends 8.
