This shawl starts at the point and increases out to make an asymmetric kite shaped shawl. It is worked in a combination of garter stitch striped sections and garter stitch and eyelet lace sections.

The pattern can be worked in any weight yarn. The images show variations in both DK weight and 4ply weight yarns. The DK weight shawl will be larger than the 4ply shawl. The size given is for the 4ply shawl which was worked in two sock yarns.

The DK version was worked in the two yarns stated in the details above but no specific sock yarn has been listed. The suggestion is to use one solid colour yarn and one long colour change yarn but the shawl could be knitted all in one colour if preferred.
