Wee Winter Whimsy
These sweet, simple lavender sachets are knit out of Blue Sky Alpaca’s organic Worsted Cotton but they’re also a great way to use up scraps of leftover yarn - perfect for last-minute knitting for everyone on your list!
Knitters love options so with this pattern you can choose to either knit your sachet flat or in the round and two options are provided for the picot bind off. Choose Picot BO Option 1 if you want a “frillier” top to your sachet (shown with the lace ribbon) or Picot BO Option 2 if you want your sachet to be a little more refined (shown with the velvet ribbon).
Materials:
- Approximately 30 yds/28 mtrs of worsted weight yarn
- 4mm needles (straight or DPNs)
- darning needle for sewing up (if you knit the flat version)
- a length of 15mm-wide ribbon - muslin or scrap fabric with sewing needle and thread
- dried lavender
Gauge:
Gauge is not critical but you will want a reasonably tight, dense fabric.
