The eighteenth pattern in the Weekend Mystery Crochet Along with Underground Crafter will include clues published on April 25, 26, and 27, 2025. This post will be updated after the CAL with the “big reveal.”

Materials
Bernat Blanket Big yarn (100% polyester, 10.5 oz/300 g, 32 yd/29 m) – 2 skeins in 51023 Silver Lining Variegated (CA) and 1 skein in 51017 Sandy Cream (CB), or approximately 90 yd (82.5 m) total in a jumbo weight, 100% polyester yarn.

Bernat Blanket Big is only available through certain retailers. Good substitutes are Lion Brand Cover Story Thick & Quick or Bernat Blanket Extra Thick. You will need 90 yd (82.5 m) in total for this project.

Alternately, this project is a great stashbuster. You’ll want to use multiple strands of a chenille-type (“blanket”) yarn held together until you reach the gauge listed below. Keep in mind that you will need approximately 90 yd (82.5 m) in EACH of the yarn strands if you try this approach.

US Size U-50/25 mm crochet hook, or any size needed to obtain correct gauge.

Yarn needle.

Gauge
3 dc = 4” (10 cm) across. Exact gauge is not critical for this pattern.
