This waffle crochet stitch creates a squishy, cozy fabric that is perfect for a cold weather and a cup of coffee. The panels and sleeves are worked flat from side to side in rows. The ribbed collar is added to the front and back panel necklines and finally all pieces are sewn each together inside out, turning right side out when all sewn and ends are woven in.

SKILLS

This is a written pattern assuming intermediate crochet knowledge and is not intended to be beginner friendly. Supplemental research or practice to learn new skills may be required to complete this project.

This pattern requires a working knowledge of: crocheting flat in rows and seaming pieces together, increasing, decreasing, working in the back loop and working slip stitch ribbing. Previous experience with working speciality stitches like the 2 stitch combinations stitch may be helpful.

The hem, sleeve cuffs and neckline are made with larger hooks in order to create stretchy slip stitches.
