Well Armed
Well Armed gives you the drape and beauty of a shawl with the comfort and ease of a cardigan.
Well Armed is worked in one piece, from the top, in a classic shawl construction, with contiguous set in sleeves, and is finished with a rich lace border. Instructions include links to video tutorials, photo tutorials, and both charted and written instructions for the lace border.
Sized for S, M and L, with instructions for customizing fit.
Materials needed include worsted weight yarn, 16” and 32” circular needles in a size that will give you a gauge of 5 sts and 6 rows per inch, dp needles, locking ring st markers, waste yarn.
Well Armed is a trans-seasonal garment and looks as nice dressed up as it does worn casually with a pair of comfortable jeans.
Regarding fit and sizes. Obviously, a traditional chest measurement is irrelevant for Well Armed. The following measurements should help in choosing the right size, and as previously stated, the pattern includes instructions for customizing fit.
Small= 10” shoulder width and 13” upper arm circumference.
Med= 13” shoulder width and 14.25” upper arm circumference.
Large= 16” shoulder width and 15.75” upper arm circumference.
