Meet Wellibob the Spider, a jumbo bundle of squishy charm ready to splash through April showers in his adorable wellington boots! This playful and chunky amigurumi make is full of personality, proving that even spiders can be irresistibly cute.
Soft, bold, and wonderfully oversized, he’s the perfect statement piece for anyone who loves fun, quirky crochet projects.
Make one (or a whole rainy-day gang!) and add a little whimsy to your springtime stitching.
Yarn:
Cygnet Jellybaby Glitter Chenille Chunky (Bulky) Yarn 92% polyester and 8% metallic thread, chunky weight (bulky) yarn, 100g (120m/ 131 yds)
• 3 balls of Cygnet Jellybaby Glitter Chenille Chunky (Bulky) Yarn InkSpot (018) - YARN A
Yarn:
Cygnet 100% Cotton, 100% cotton, double knit (light worsted) yarn, 100g (218yds / 200m).
• 1 ball Cygnet 100% Cotton, Golden 3184 -YARN B
• 1 ball Cygnet 100% Cotton, Pearl Grey 6808 -YARN C
Hook Size(s):
6mm hook (US J/10) for the body and legs of Sparkles and 3.5mm hook (US E/4) for the wellies.
Gauge:
3sc = 3cm / 1.1 inches in the Chunky Chenille, 5sc = 2.5cm /1 inch in the DK Cotton
Pattern will work in other hooks and yarns though finished size may be different.
You will also need:
• A yarn needle
• stitch markers
• toy stuffing35mm glitter safety eyes.
• 16 x 30cm (6mm) black pipe cleaners
Finished size:
Approx. Body diameter (not including legs) 76cm [30 inches] width (including outstretched legs) 73.6cm [29 inches], height = 17.7cm [7 inches]
