Inspired by Welsh tapestry fabric accessories of the 1960’s.

The bag base is worked flat then stitches are picked up for the bag body, which is worked in the round.

Instructions for the colourwork section are charted.

Uses two bulky weight yarns, one in a solid colour and one multicoloured with long colour changes, to give the ombre effect within the pattern.

Bag shown is finished with sew-on leather handles and fabric lining.

Finished size: Approximately 30 cm (12 inches) wide, 33 cm (13 inches) high.
