The West Village Socks are knitted from the cuff down to the toe. Work the leg of the socks in Slip-stitch colourwork, then a French heel in Eye of partridge. Turn the heel using some short rows and start decreasing to create the gussets. Continue in Stocking stitch for the foot and finish the socks with a short, medium or long standard toe. The pattern is suitable for knitters who are new to colourwork.
