This asymmetric triangular shawl is worked flat from the bottom point up, starting with just 3 stitches. It features a simple stitch pattern in combination with a gradient mini-skein color progression, Latvian braids, and a corrugated ribbing finish to produce a complex-looking texture that is surprisingly easy to knit.

Asymmetric increases and frequent color changes from the mini-skeins make this pattern predictably unpredictable. Because every row has a different number of sts, the number of rows you can complete for each stripe of color will also be different. If your row gauge differs from the stated gauge, you will be able to complete a different number of rows with your mini-skein so the measurements of stripe heights should be considered approximate.

As written, the pattern uses one set of gradient mini-skeins and one skein of the main color, but if you have more yarn, it is easily adjustable.
