Wharf Cap
-Finished Size 10 1/2” long, brim unfolded, 11” circumference, relaxed; hat stretches to 20” circumference.
-Yarn The Fibre Company Canopy Worsted (50% baby alpaca, 30% merino wool, 20% viscose from bamboo; 200 yd 183 m/3 1/2 oz 100 g): conifer, 1 skein. Yarn distributed by Kelbourne Woolens.
-Needles Sizes 7 (4.5 mm) and 8 (5 mm): 16” circular (cir). Size 8 (5 mm): set of doublepointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
-Notions Marker (m); cable needle (cn); tapestry needle.
-Gauge 30 sts and 27 rnds = 4” in k2, p2, k2, p4 rib on smaller needle, relaxed.
Begin with a nest of cables and work downward into the ribbed body of the Wharf Cap.
