Wheat shawl
This triangular shawl uses increasing and decreasing stitches in 2 color brioche knitting technique, combined with double knitting details. The floral motive of the “wheat” is made up of two “grains”, left and right, which alternately grow from one another. You have a written pattern (in English), row by row, stitch by stitch, chart and photo & video tutorials for important stitches.
You need:
1. Skills: Intermediate 2 color brioche knitting knowledge,
double knitting;
2. Needles:
* A set of (interchangeable) circular needles in size US.
7/4,5mm with 32”and 48” (80cm and 120cm) cables.
length (end don’t knit to loose);
* a hook for bind-off bobbles US 4-6 / 3,5-4mm;
* tapestry needle for weaving in ends;
3. Yarn: shown shawl is made with approx. 2x90gr
(2 balls, 1 light, 1 dark) lace weight woolen yarn,
budget friendly Alize Angora Gold (100gr / 601 yards.
~550 meters) in coral 656 and petrol 17;
You can also use fingering, sport or some combination
of these and your favorite colors;
4. Clover locking stitch markers – 22 pcs.
