This sweater was inspired by Small Cable Sweater from my book, Lullaby Knits. Because the original sweater was so small I thought I’d make a version for larger babies/ toddlers and alter the construction to a seamless one, keeping the cabled pattern the same.

The sweater is worked top-down on circular needles, shaping the yoke with purl increases between the cables and knitted increases in the cabled panels. Finally, a few increases are made at the sleeve sections of the yoke after which the work is separated for the body and sleeves.
When working the initial start-up for the body and the sleeves the new stitches under the arms help form an extra cable panel.
