Note: Pattern instructions/materials list is based on making both sized bags. You will also need the following materials:

• Eight (8) ½” square (10 mm) stainless steel findings
• ½ yard stiffest interfacing (such as Pellon ultrafim interfacing)
• Two (2) 1” (25 cm) diameter shank buttons
• Two (2) yards (1 ¾ meters) gray suede cord

These small, smart, sparkly tote-like bags are my interpretation of Chanel – inspired design intersecting Schiaparelli – inspired color.

Construction is three easy pieces that are slip stitch seamed on the right side for function as well as aesthetic appeal. Further reinforced strength comes in the form of a double layer of stiff interfacing covered with a simple crochet fabric and placed in the bag’s bottom, because these fun bags are designed with no fabric lining required.

Use them liberally to spice up a night out, as they will hold all the small things a gal needs for an evening on the town.

Designed for the 2018 Progress, Hope, and Happiness collection, several designs utilize these two yarns, so you should get many designs from the collection worked up from one skein of NFC Studio DK and one Studio DK gradient kit, in colors of your choice.
