When September Ends is a triangle shawl worked sideways featuring garter stitch and a lace leaf panel extending from left to right.

This pattern is part of Four Seasons of Shawls - Autumn. It has been inspired by the song “Wake Me Up When September Ends” by Green Day.

The shawl is worked in garter stitch for approximately half of the shawl body, then the lace panel is introduced from the left edge proceeding towards the right as the shawl grows.
