Whimsey Blanket
This fun and easy pattern incorporates playful stitches, colorful patterning and seamless I-cord edging for a charming throw or baby blanket.
The Whimsey Blanket is also available as a kit from Craftsy.
Construction: This blanket is worked from the base up. Then, the two-tone garter stitch and I-cord border is worked simply and seamlessly around the blanket from one side to the next, all using the same live strands of yarn. (No extra ends to weave in!)
This pattern includes both charted and written instructions.
Techniques used: Knit, purl, simple lace, provisional cast on, picking up sts, i-cord bind off, Kitchener stitch.
Sizes: Stroller/Receiving (Throw/Crib) - 30” (36”) wide x 38” (48”) long (Largest size pictured.)
Yarn: Cloudborn Pima Cotton DK: C1 (Grey): 693 (924) yds; C2 (Mint): 693 (924) yds
