Whimsical Birds Valance
This delightful valance is covered with whimsical birds sitting on branches and flying through the air. A slight gathering at the top of the valance is incorporated into the pattern. The rod pocket is also built into the design to fit a 5/8” or 3/4” inch curtain rod. Instructions are provided to adjust the valance width to fit your window.
This pattern includes both row-by-row written instructions as well as a design chart for reference.
The filet crochet technique is akin to crocheting a piece of graph paper with some of the square grids filled in and some left open (or blank) to create an overall design. If you’d like to learn filet crochet, check out my YouTube tutorial: Filet Crochet: Learning the Stitches & a Few Extras!
