Whirligig is a light, garter stitch wrap, knitted sideways. It curves round into a circle as you knit and the two ends curl together when the wrap is worn. The outside edge is decorated with a tiny zigzag and the finished wrap is reversible.

This pattern works particularly well with variegated yarns as the colour stripes emphasise the shape. You will need less than 150g of DK weight yarn; I’ve used a yarn with some added sparkle but you could substitute other yarns of roughly the same weight.
