Yarn: Neighborhood Fiber Co. Studio DK (DK-weight; 100% merino wool; 250m / 273yds per 100g skein )
Shade: Oliver; 5 skeins
OR approx. 1210m / 1323yds of DK-weight yarn
Gauge: 20 sts & 28 rows = 10cm / 4” over Garter stitch worked on 4mm needles after blocking.
Needles: 4mm / US 6 circular needle, 80cm / 32” length
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: 4 stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle
Notes: Wholecloth starts at the bottom point and extends on both sides to a wide top edge. Increases are worked at the beg and end of most RS rows. The piece resembles a chess board, with offset blocks of textured pattern on a background of garter stitch.
