Widden is a wide, relaxed-fitting top featuring mock cable trims and aesthetic seams. It is made sideways, flat and in pieces, while the trims are worked in the round. This project will suit a variety of yarn types or weights. It is designed to be loose gauge, ideally using larger size needles.

Yarn Quantity:
(Yardage below is based on light fingering weight yarn)
XS: 1670yds (1527m) / S: 1882yds (1721m) / M: 2017yds (1845m) / L: 2247yds (2054m) / 1XL: 2388yds (2184m) / 2XL: 2635yds (2409m) / 3XL: 2782yds (2544m).

Note: The samples shown in this pattern use light fingering weight yarns held double-stranded. See also below:

Using Worsted Weight Yarns: This top can also be worked using single strands of Worsted weight yarns. To achieve this, simply halve the yarn amounts given in the Yarn Quantity table - however, add an extra 20%, as some yarns can vary in thickness.

Gauge
Gauge in Stockinette stitch (blocked): 16 sts by 20 rows over 4” (10cm) square on larger size needles.
