From the description: A centuries-old lace technique is updated with lush, textured yarns and a thoroughly modern design. The three-dimensional motifs are crocheted first, then applied to a paper or muslin template; a picot mesh is worked to join the motifs and form the body of the shawl.

Skill Level: Experienced.

Gauge: 4 loops and 6 rows = 4” in picot mesh patt.

Notions:

  • Sewing needle with sharp point and eye large enough to fit a thread for basting (upholstery needle works well);
  • paper or muslin for template;
  • polyester sewing thread in contrasting color;
  • yarn needle.
