There’s nothing cozier than a soft pair of slipper socks when the weather is cold. With pointed toes on the end and an instep pattern that resembles scales, these whimsical slippers are inspired by Maurice Sendak’s children’s classic, Where the Wild Things Are. The pattern is a good introduction to sock construction, made with aran weight yarn, on size 6 (4 mm) needles. Instructions are provided for four sizes: small child, large child, small adult, and large adult.
