Create this simple yoke using center single crochet and sew it to a skirt or piece of fabric to create a dress. It’s an easy way to add something new to textiles you already own.

Yarn Aunt Lydia’s Fashion Crochet Thread (Size 3) (distributed by Coats and Clark) (100% cotton; 150 yd / 1.75 oz): #182-226 natural (MC), #182-65 warm teal (CC), 3 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4) balls each.
Hook Size D/3 (3.25 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions Yarn needle; sewing needle and thread or sewing machine; sewing pins; skirt or fabric sewn in a tube cut to about 50 (50, 50, 50, 60, 60)“ in circumference by 35” in length or as desired.
Gauge 23 csc and 30 rows 4” in patt.
