Brim Circumference:

  • 15 1/2 (16 3/4, 18) (19 1/4, 22)” / 38.5 (42, 45) (48.5, 55) cm Shown in size 19 1/4” / 48.5 cm, with about 3/4” / 2 cm negative ease. Choose a size slightly smaller than your actual head circumference.

Yarn

  • 2 skeins of SweetGeorgia Yarns BFL+Silk Fine, 1 each in Birch (MC), Cast Iron (CC) (370 yd / 338 m per 3.5 oz / 100 g skein; 75% Bluefaced Leicester Wool, 25% Silk).

Needles & Notions

  • Size 2 / 2.75 mm circular needle, 16″ / 40 cm long

  • Size 2 / 2.75 mm double-point needles (or preferred needle for small circumference knitting), for crown.

  • OPTIONAL: Size 3 / 3.25 mm circular needle,16″ / 40 cm long, for colourwork.

Adjust needle size if necessary to get the correct gauge.

Gauge

  • 31 stitches and 36 rounds = 4″ / 10 cm in Stockinette stitch, after blocking.
