This shawl was specifically created to honor the first Swiss Wullefestival that will be held in October (3-4). I named the pattern after the hill nearby Zug, where the festival will take place. The pattern of the shawls reflects the undisturbed nature of Swiss forests, the clear colors, vertical lines and soft shapes.

The lace isn’t difficult to knit, it’s suitable for any advanced knitter or even adventurous beginner lace knitters. The shawl has the shape of the narrow moon, that allows the pattern to show fully, but lets you wear it on your shoulders safely, or even gives you a great opportunity to show off that unique shawl pin you save for special days. You are free to decide the size of the shawl, as the size of the body is fully adjustable.

YARN USED FOR THE SAMPLE
Soft Rainbow Yarns Filisilk (70% merino, 30% silk, 656 yards (600 m) / 100 g) - I used 66 g.

SUGGESTED YARNS
Preferably solid, semisolid or tonal, fingering, light fingering or lace weight yarn. Use wool, bamboo, or also some fluffy yarn what have a good drape.

NEEDLES USED FOR SAMPLE
US 6 (4 mm) 40”(100 cm) cm long circular needles.

NOTIONS
Stitch markers if you want to separate repeats, tapestry
needle.

SIZE OF THE sample
Wingspan at the neck: 51” (130 cm),
depth in the middle: 14” (35 cm)

GAUGE
Please note that in this particular project getting the right gauge is not essential. However, working with different yarn weight / gauge will effect both the yardage and the final size of the project as well.
