Wildwood
From the valley grasslands—scattered with ponderosa pine, cottonwood, and birch—to the alpine tundra of stunted spruce and fir, the Okanagan Valley’s rainshadow forests are home to some of the rarest and most diverse ecosystems in the country.
Wildwood is a cozy, oversized triangle shawl with a simple lace edging.
YARN/YARDAGE
Worsted weight yarn—approx. 200g (550y).
Shown in H&W Comfort-Wolle Gala (547y/200g) using
one skein each Rust Grey (orange shawl), Green Grey (green shawl), and Oxford Grey (grey shawl).
TOOLS
8mm (US 11) 40” circular needle, or size needed to get
gauge, stitch markers, darning needle
GAUGE
11 st / 4” in stockinette, after blocking
(A different gauge will affect finished measurements and
yardage requirements.)
