Suggested needle size: 2.5 and 3 mm circular needle (40 cm for size 4 and 5 years and 60 cm for size 6-9 years), cable needle for the cables, 2.5 mm double pointed needles for the ribbing in the armholes.

Gauge: 30 sts x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm in pattern with cables, on a 3 mm needle. If the gauge is not correct, try with a bigger or smaller needle.

Info about the yarn alternatives: The pattern suggests 4 yarn alternatives. The vest can be worked in Pimabomuld, Yaku (merino wool), Tynd Lamauld or Økologisk Sommeruld (a mix of wool and cotton). The 4 different yarns contains different fibres, therefore, the final look will be different too. Tynd Lamauld will give a more woollen look, while the 3 other yarns have a more even surface. The vest in the picture is worked in Tynd Lamauld.
