The Windbreak hat was inspired by a Japanese sashiko design that caught my eye. There are two versions of the hat available, version 1 (white hat w/ purple contrast) and version 2 (purple hat w/ white contrasting). They are both included in the pattern.

The hat is knit in the round, from the bottom-up, and would be suitable for an intermediate knitter. The trickiest part of the hat is that due to the nature of the fair isle pattern, there are many long floats that you will need to catch and carry as you work through the pattern.

The pattern is a written pattern with charts provided for the fair isle.
