The socks are knit toe up in a very simple and easy to memorize stitch pattern. The simplicity of the stitch pattern works well with self striping yarns and provides a bit of interest and texture to the stripes. It would also look lovely in hand paints, solids, and tonals. The sock is constructed with a gusset, and reinforced heel flap. These are perfect socks to work two at a time toe up.

The sample shown was knit for a size 6 foot in size small with plenty of leftovers, but larger sizes and longer feet may require additional yarn.

This lovely colorway inspired the name for these socks. It is so cheerful and reminds me of both the new growth of spring and the many vibrant colors of wine grapes.
