The sweater is knitted top-down with raglan increases and colour changes worked throughout.
The first part of the yoke is worked back and forth, in lace pattern according to chart on the back and front, and stockinette across the sleeves. At the same time, raglan increases and neckline shaping are worked, including short rows to raise the back neck for a better fit.
Once all short rows and neckline increases have been completed, the work is joined in the round. Raglan increases continue, with stockinette over the sleeves and lace pattern across the back and front.
When the raglan increases are finished, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the body is completed in lace pattern.
The sleeves are then finished in stockinette and ended with a ribbed cuff and an Italian bind-off.
Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline and a ribbed neckband is worked, also finished with an Italian bind-off.
