1-inch wide ruler or piece of cardboard 1 inch [2.5 cm] x 12 inches
Cardboard approximately 3 inches [7.5 cm] square (for making tassel)

Tiffany Lining: 12 sts + 18 rows = 4 in [10 cm] with 3 strands held tog in stockinette stitch on U.S. #10 needles
Lion Wool Exterior: 10 sts + 12 rows = 4 in [10 cm] with 2 strands held tog in stockinette stitch on U.S. #10 needles before felting.

Hat:
16 stitches by 24 rows = 4 in (10 cm) with US #8 (5mm) needles

Muff is felted.

Hat design features ‘fur’ edging, ties with pom-poms and tassel on back of hood. Sew back seam to create the hood.
