Winter Light Leg Warmers
Say goodbye to freezing legs in the winter with these oh-so warm leg warmers. Carol Huebscher Rhoades’s inspiration for these came from traditional Estonian and Finnish examples. (Interweave)

Jamieson’s Ultra, 50% lamb’s wool/50% Shetland wool yarn, laceweight, 212 yards (193.9 m)/25 gram (.88 oz) hank, 2 hanks of #108 Moorit (MC) and 1 hank each of #104 Natural White (CC1), #572 Lava (CC2), #802 Goblin (CC3), and #715 Atlantis (CC4); www.simplyshetland.net

Needles, set of 4 or 5 double pointed and/or long Magic Loop needle size 00 (1.75 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge (optional size 0 2.0 mm or larger for the stranded knitting if your knitting is too tight in that section)

Finished size: 12½ inches (31.7 cm), widest upper leg
circumference; 8½ inches (21.6 cm) ankle circumference;
13 inches (33.0 cm) leg length
Gauge: 38 sts and 56 rnds = 4 inches (10.2 cm) in
