Winter Morning Ponchette
Happy Winter Solstice! Even though the days are short, this day marks the start of winter, and the point at which they will start to lengthen. The promise of spring is on the horizon.
Our fourth V-shaped ponchette is the Winter Morning, knit with worsted weight yarn. It starts out on the diagonal and changes direction after the halfway point, creating a delightful V-shaped piece. This Ponchette fastens with a simple seam or sewn buttons. Another option is to use a shawl cuff to fasten it. It was knit with Urth Yarns, Monokrom which has a gorgeous gradient effect. It’s 100% extra fine Merino wool and so soft in your hands, and on your neck and shoulders. What a wonderful layering piece for this time of year.

It is approximately 56” wide x 23” deep. Gauge is 3.5 sts./ in. and 6 rows/in.

Thanks to Carrie for the ingenious idea, and for knitting the sample. Thank you to Erin and Pam for modeling the Winter Morning Ponchette!
