Hello and welcome to ChristalLK’s Mystery Knit-Along.

Let’s knit a shawl together to get ready for Christmas!
Here are some details to help you prepare:
You need:

KITS ARE AVAILABLE HERE

• 4 skeins in two contrasting colors (they must be contrasting, either solid or slightly variegated):
• 2 in Peregrine (or a fingering yarn - approx. 700 m)
• 2 more skeins… mystery – you will need about 600 meters. These skeins can be lace yarn: either hairy (such as mohair, suri, alpaca), non-hairy (such as wool, wool and silk), or possibly fingering weight.
• 3.75 mm circ needles
• a 4 mm crochet hook
• about 20 markers

What are the techniques used:

There will be some lace and classic stitches, and this shawl doesn’t use BRIOCHE or COLORWORK

It is accessible to people who have already knitted shawls or at least to determined beginners.

SIZE

The size and shape of the shawl are part of the mystery.
This will be a shawl large enough to cover the shoulders of most knitters.

Clue1: Tuesday December 2
Clue 2: Tuesday December 9
Clue 3: Tuesday December 16
Clue 4: Tuesday December 23

RULES & INFORMATION

Starting on December 2, you’ll receive this week’s clue every Tuesday, either on Ravelry (be sure to check your library) or by e-mail.
You will be able to participate in the event which will take place on Discord and/or on Ravelry.
At the end of each week, a draw will be held. Prizes (all different) will be awarded based on photos shared on the various social media platforms where the MKAL event is taking place.

SHARING ON SOCIAL NETWORKS

If you would like to participate and share your photos on Discord, Ravelry, Instagram, etc., we ask that you share these photos in the dedicated threads for the discussion forums and use the official KAL image as the first photo on Instagram (in the case of a carousel) to prevent people participating in the KAL from seeing the clue revealed before they have had the chance to start knitting it.

Nous allons tricoter ensemble un châle pour préparer Noël !
Voici quelques détails pour vous préparer :
Il vous faudra :

• 4 écheveaux de laine en deux couleurs contrastantes (il faut qu’elles soient contrastantes soit unies, soit légèrement variées) :
• 2 en base Peregrine (ou une fingering – environ 700 mètres)
• 2 autres écheveaux… mystère – vous aurez besoin d’environ 600 mètres. Ces écheveaux peuvent être du fil dentelle : soit poilu (type mohair, suri, alpaga), soit non poilu (type laine, laine et soie) ou éventuellement, en fingering.
• des aiguilles 3,75 mm
• un crochet 4 mm
• une vingtaine de marqueurs

Quelles sont les techniques utilisées :

Il y aura un peu de dentelle et des points classiques et ce châle ne comporte ni BRIOCHE ni JACQUARD

Il est accessible pour les personnes ayant déjà tricoté des châles ou au minimum aux débutants obstinés.

TAILLE

La taille et la forme du châle font partie du mystère.
Ce sera un châle suffisamment grand pour couvrir les épaules de la majorité des tricoteurs et tricoteuses.

RÈGLES & INFORMATIONS

Vous recevrez, à partir du 2 décembre et ce chaque mardi, l’indice de la semaine soit sur Ravelry (veillez à vérifier votre bibliothèque dans ce cas), soit par email.
Vous pourrez participer à l’évènement qui se déroulera sur Discord et/ou sur Ravelry.
A la fin de chaque semaine, un tirage au sort aura lieu. Les prix (tous différents) seront attribués sur la base des photos partagées sur les différents réseaux où se déroule le MKAL.

PARTAGE SUR LES RÉSEAUX SOCIAUX

Si vous désirez participer et partager vos photos sur Discord, Ravelry, Instagram, etc., nous vous demandons de partager ces photos dans les fils dédiés pour les forums de discussion et d’utiliser l’image officielle du KAL en première photo sur Instagram (dans le cas d’un carrousel) pour éviter que les personnes qui participent au KAL ne voient l’indice dévoilé avant qu’elles n’aient eu l’occasion de commencer à le tricoter.
