I used 2 different yarns. A MC yarn in green/white for the sock (a 100 grams regular skein of fingering yarn 420 mtrs per 100 grams) and a cc yarn in red for the nupps (a 20 grams miniskein of fingering yarn 420 mtrs per 100 grams)

For me there are a few things that just scream X-mas. The combination of red, green and white and, off course, holly! In creating these winterly holly socks with a twist, I combined the colors and the holly. And I added a bit of a twist/challenge in a two part, folded down cuff.

This sock is knitted top-down but starts with a provisional cast-on. When you have finished knitting the sock you knit the second folded down part of the cuff. Do not worry, it really is not that difficult. But the effect is great.

Ik gebruikte voor deze sok 2 strengen. Een 100 grams streng 4-draads sokkengaren in een groen/witte kleurstelling voor de sok (420 mtr per 100 gram) en een rode ministreng voor de noppen (ook 4-draads sokkengaren van 420 mtr per 100 gram).
Er zijn weinig dingen die bij mij meer kerstsfeer oproepen dat de kleurencombi rood, groen en wit en hulst. Voor deze sokken heb ik deze dingen gecombineerd. En er zit een beetje een twist/uitdaging in het omslagboordje dat uit 2 delen bestaat.

Het is een sok die van boord naar teen gebreid wordt en begint met een tijdelijke opzet. Als je sok klaar is, brei je het tweede deel van je omslagboordje, maar geen paniek, het is echt niet moeilijk. Maar wel een leuk effect.
