The theme for this tour was our Dream Knitting Getaways. Mine was a cabin in the woods by a lake in Wisconsin. I wanted a scarf that was cozy enough to keep the chill off during my walk in the woods, but not so big that it would catch on tree branches or need adjusting along the way. Letting the edges curl naturally adds to the easy, soft vibe of the project.

Notes:

  1. The scarf is knit with both yarns held together, except for the garter ridges which are knit with a single strand of the suri or the wool as indicated. Do not cut your yarn; just carry it up the side.
  2. Because the scarf is mostly stockinette, it will naturally curl. Some of the curl will flatten out when blocked, but it isn’t meant to disappear completely.
  3. If you prefer to have all the textured stitches made with the mohair or all the textured stitches made with the fingering instead of half and half, go for it. You have enough yarn for that to work.
