Wisteria Blooms
This very pretty top will help you make the most of summer with its profusion of wistful wisteria flowers, gently dangling in the breeze…!
Whilst looking very intricate, Wisteria Blooms is made from a simple and repetitive lace pattern, with soft shaping along the deep neckline, and the back is knitted in simple Garter Stitch using large needles.
There are plenty of sizing options available, and the pattern is fully charted and provides row-by-row written instructions.
Materials:
Right Side Yarns “Wisteria” DK Polwarth Superwash wool (230m/ 251yds per 100g)
4.50mm knitting needles
5.50mm knitting needles
6 stitch markers (2 Main markers, 4-6 small markers)
Blocking pins for finishing
Finished Size:
“Wisteria Blooms” is a lacy short garment that is meant to be worn with a lot of ease, to accommodate for wearing over a smaller top and to show off its drape, especially at the front (the pictured sample was knitted in Size 3).
It is also possible to increase / decrease the length or width of the garment by adding / removing some repeats (see figures in Tension/ Gauge below), or simply by slightly altering the finished dimensions when stretching the garment out during the blocking process.
Both the lace and Garter St create a very stretchy fabric, there is therefore scope for a lot of sizing versatility in this pattern!
