Grab your crystals and your herbs, folks, because the witching hour is upon us. A dramatic edging and fun fringe adds a bit of drama to this top-down triangular shawl.

MATERIALS
Yarn: approximately 690 yds/631 m fingering-weight yarn. I used Knitted Wit Sock in Canopy (mc, 420 yds/384 m) and Witchy Sixlet of Smarties (ccA-F, 45 yds/41 m each; more info in PATTERN NOTES).
Fringe: You will also need approximately 45 yards/41 m total for the fringe, which you’ll get from the leftovers from the Smarties (above).
Needles: US5/3.75mm (or size to obtain gauge) circular needle, 24”/60 cm or longer.
Notions: Waste yarn for provisional cast on, stitch markers, tapestry needle, crochet hook (G, H, or I) and a piece of stiff cardboard: 5”/12.5 cm x 10”/ 25.5 cm for fringe.

GAUGE
20 sts & 22 Rs = 4”/10 cm in garter stitch worked flat, measured after blocking.

SKILL LEVEL
Advanced beginner.
