Wonkavision Wrap
Inspired by Willy Wonka’s WonkaVision, this crochet wrap uses assigned pooling techniques to create a TV-like static to drape across your shoulders. Lightweight, fun, and versatile, it can be styled to suit any mood, making it a perfect garment for changing elements. Whether you drape it, wrap it, or twist it — this wrap is meant to move, just like you.
PROJECT LEVEL: Easy (project includes simple stitch patterns, color work, and/or shaping)
MATERIALS
Yarn: 3 skeins of Wonderland Yarns “Lory” DK weight, 100% superwash merino/230 yards/4 oz skein; shown on ‘Sipping on Cider’ Colorburst colorway.
Hooks & Notions: US 7/4.5 mm crochet hook, yarn needle, blocking pins & mats
Gauge: 4” x 4” = 16 double crochet x 8 rows (blocked)
Measurements: Center back panel - 105” x 15” wet blocked, cuffs add 7” to each end once assembled. Approx an XL/XXL size.
Note: Total measurements/sizing listed above includes every bit of the 3 skeins. Size can be shortened to fit or additional skeins can be added for more length. It is recommended to measure around the widest part of your upper chest/shoulders to determine your length. Keep in mind that when ‘trying on’ while working the back portion, it will block out to be longer!
