The three days of love and peace at the Woodstock Festival in 1969 heralded the birth of a new age and was the rallying cry for a generation. At the time my favorite sweater was a Missoni design of multi-colored horizontal zigzags, copied endlessly in the high street. Using a similar shape, I have made the pattern into monotone sculptured stitches and given the design a contemporary look by continuing the zigzag at hem and cuffs. Knitted in mercerized cotton, it’s perfect for today’s summer festivities.
