Wrap capitalizes on the long color runs of Wooly Stripes yarn, showing off the striped yarn in three different ways: narrow stripes on one side, wide stripes on the other side, and color that slowly creeps up the seed stitch border, which is knit as you go along using the intarsia method. The shawl is cast on for the full 40” length; when the 18” width is reached, stitches are bound off, and the other side of the “L” shape is completed. The shawl border is seed stitch, while the interior is knit in stockinette stitch. The “L” shape of the shawl allows it to remain more easily on the shoulders.
