This crochet basket pattern includes instructions for making three sizes of this basket:

• Large sized basket - 8” wide by 6” high
• Medium sized basket - 7” wide by 5.5” high
• Small sized basket - 6” wide by 4.5” high

I have also provided a YouTube Tutorial link which demonstrates a few of the crochet techniques used to make this basket.

This is a circular shaped basket. It is worked in one piece. The base of the basket is made first by crocheting and increasing stitch counts while working in the round. The sides of the basket are then crocheted, changing to the basket weave pattern when indicated. Finally, the top and the handle pieces are made to complete the basket.

Instructions for this crochet basket are provided in written format only.

This crochet basket was made using 100% cotton, Worsted weight yarn (10ply). The basket crochets very quickly with this weight of yarn.

Instructions are provided in UK terminology.

To make this basket, you need to use these stitches:

• chain stitch
• slip stitch
• double crochet
• treble crochet
• half treble crochet
• double crochet two together
• working around front/back of posts
