The wrapped in tulips vest is an interesting vest with ties on the sides of it. The vest is made from two similar panels that are both worked bottom up. At first you will learn how to make cable stitches, then you will add a row with a stitch that resembles the look of tulips. Then you will learn how to make another stitch, that you will use for the rest of the body and the neckline of the vest. After assembling both panels, you will learn how to make ties on the sides.

Since the pattern is made to measure, you can use any type and size of yarn. For my own vest in a size XS/S, I used a 5,5mm hook, and 150 grams/ 360 meters of yarn for the base colour (blue), and less than 20 grams each for the green details and the tulips itself. My testers proved that the pattern works with other sizes of yarn/hook as well.

The pattern has been tested in adult and childrens’ sizes.
