Wriggle Mitts
These mittens were designed for Shall We Knit?’s retreat in January 2019, using the featured yarn that attendees received in their goodie bag. Lynne Sosnowski and I were challenged to each design new patterns using Shibui Knits. I created these mittens and Lynne designed Portable Hole.

Sizes Available: One size
Finished Size (blocked): 11.5”/29.25 cm wide by 32.25”/82 cm long

- Stitch markers (2)
- Scrap yarn or stitch holder
- Tapestry needle
Yarn: 175 yards/160 meters of alpaca/wool yarn that knits up to 7 sts/inch on US#4/3.5 mm needles or 175 yards/320 meters each of a DK and a lace weight mohair/silk yarn held together.

Shibui Knits ‘Maai’, (175 yards/160 meters; 70% alpaca, 30% wool; 1.76 oz/50 grams per skein). 1 skein in 2004 Ivory.
Riverside Studios ‘Kidsilk’, (331 yards/302 meters; 60% kid mohair, 40% silk; 0.88 oz/25 grams per skein). 1 skein of Blaze (half a skein used)
